Does how much of a sunscreen I apply, make any difference?

Lady applying lotion to partner Yes it does. Most people put on about half the amount they should! Unsurprisingly this only gives about half the protection you think you are getting. As a rule of thumb you should use about 6 to 7 teaspoonfuls (30-35ml) to cover your body.
