No nonsense answers to questions we are often asked
What are the main risks to my skin when I sunbathe?
Serious sunbathing always generates
skin damage. This can range from redness, to the destruction of cells
and DNA modification, all caused by UV light particularly from the
summer sun. In extreme cases, this damage can lead to severe skin
problems ranging from sunburn to skin cancers, most of which are
serious but not life threatening these days if caught early enough.
